Eduardo rejoined Multicanal, now AMC Networks Iberia, in 2005. He led the integration of Multicanal into Chellomedia, the acquisition of Teuve in Spain, the creation of Dreamia in Portugal and the launch and consolidation of numerous pay thematic channels. In April 2014 he also took charge of AMC Networks Latin America.
Eduardo has held several responsibilities in the Spanish TV industry since 1989 and has extensive experience in post-production, acquisitions, programming and production. MD of Molinare Spain, MD of Multicanal, Director of programming and content at Telefónica led DTH platform Via Digital, and MD of Fremantle Media for Spain and Portugal, where he produced many prime time and day time television shows with excellent ratings.
Previous to his TV career, Eduardo worked for a number of years in the financial services industry at the corporate finance departments of Citibank and Bank of America in Spain and served as CFO of Iniexport the trading arm of INI Group, Spain´s largest industrial holding at the time.
Eduardo has a Bachelor in International Economics from Georgetown University and a Master in International Finance from Columbia University.
CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of AMC Networks International – Iberia and Latin America
Ricardo Deben has worked at Chello Multicanal in Spain, now AMC Networks International – Iberia, for the past 7 years, where he also served as CFO.
Among Deben´s most notable achievements are the structuring and assessment of more than 100 corporate operations, from mergers and acquisitions to due diligence processes.
He also assisted the Company in major negotiations with cable operators in Portugal and Spain.
His education includes specialization in Business at Universidad de La Coruña in Spain, a degree in International Business Communications from Ulster University - United Kingdom, and participation in the Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School in Navarra, Spain.
Country Manager for Argentina, for AMC Networks International – Latin America
Marisa Piñeiro has worked at Chello Latin America in Argentina, now AMC Networks International – Latin America, where she also served as Country Manager.
She is in charge of the Human Resources, Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility departments.
In 2001, Piñeiro became Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Pramer SCA, where she was responsible for developing the department, and in 2010 was promoted to the position of COO (Chief Operating Officer).
Piñeiro graduated with honors as a Public Accountant from Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora. She also holds a Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration from that same school, a post-graduate degree in Labor and Social Security Law from USAL - Universidad de Salvador, and a Master´s in Strategic Human Resources Management from UCES, Universidad Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales.
Piñeiro completed her education in Management at Universidad Austral´s IAE Business School through their P.D.D. (Management Development Program), and also completed their P.E.R.H. (Strategic HR Program).
Caribbean and South American Affiliates (except Brazil)
Mauro Paez-Pumar has worked for Chello Latin America, now AMC Networks International – Latin America, where he was also responsible for sales efforts in South America (except Brazil) and the Caribbean.
Paez-Pumar previously served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Castalia Communications. He has also worked in various divisions within the industry, including companies such as Argo Systems, LAPTV, DIRECTV and Turner International.
Paez-Pumar earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Universidad Simon Bolivar - Caracas and specialized in Marketing at Hofstra University – New York.
Director of AMC Networks International´s In-house Production Channels - Iberia and Latin America
With more than 20 years of professional experience in administration, creation and content management, Mandi Ciriza joined Chello Multicanal in Spain, now AMC Networks International - Iberia, in 2006. She has served as the in-house production channels director for Canal Cocina, Canal Decasa, Sol Música and Canal Panda España. As of 2014, Ciriza has also been the lifestyles channels director for AMC Networks International - Latin America: elgourmet, Casa Club TV and Cosmopolitan TV, which are broadcast in 20 Latin American countries.
A journalist with extensive experience in the media world, Ciriza has been linked to the world of television for most of her career. She has directed entertainment programs for Antena 3 and TVE such as the highly popular “Lo que necesitas es amor” (What you need is love), the first reality show broadcast in Spain. This program received a TP de Oro, one of the biggest awards in the field of Spanish television. In addition, Ciriza has managed national and international production program departments, such as Pearson Television and Filmax.
Ciriza´s excellent work has been acknowledged through major awards such as the International EVA Award, recognizing women in leadership in different areas of cuisine, sponsored by the Government of Navarra (Spain) and promoted by the Asociación de Mujeres Empresarias y Directivas (Business and Executive Women´s Association).
New Media at AMC Networks International - Iberia and Latin America
Philippe González has worked for Chello Multicanal in España, now AMC Networks International – Iberia, where he was responsible for New Media.
Since 2014, he has also been in charge of new media at AMC Networks International - Latin America
With his team, González manages more than 25 websites, their corresponding social media networks and over 15 mobile and smart TV applications. He is behind the successful Canal Cocina app, the most downloaded Spanish cooking app in the world; to date, it has been downloaded more than two million times on iPhones, iPads and other mobile operating systems.
González worked in the field of distribution before becoming the automotive division’s Director of Marketing, and eventually focused on the online world. He took part in the launch of the first automobile portal, Autocity.com. This was followed by different positions of responsibility in the website and mobile world for the telecommunications company Orange (France Telecom.)
González is licensed by École Supérieure de Commerce de Lille (France).
Affiliates Sales Brazil, Central America and Mexico
Gustavo Lopez is responsible for the distribution of AMC Networks International – Latin America in the territories of Brazil, Central America and Mexico.
Lopez joined AMC Networks in 2013 as Vice President of Global Distribution and Business Development, where he spearheaded the launch of Sundance Channel in Latin America. Prior to joining AMC Networks, Gustavo served as General Counsel of Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic for seven years. Gustavo also spent five years in the legal department of HBO Latin America. Gustavo began his career as an attorney with the international law firm of White & Case LLP. He has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami. Gustavo serves on the board of directors of the Television Association of Programmers Latin America.
